Come and discover the place where prehistory began ... in one of the most beautiful regions of France :

Périgord can be divided into four areas ;
- white Périgord, including Périgueux, so called because of its white chalky soil,
- green Périgord, known for its fertile farmland
- purple Périgord, famous for its wine and vineyards
and ... last but by no means least (let's be chauvinistic!)
- black Périgord with Sarlat as its historic capital. It is home to the fertile Dordogne valley which irrigates the land and contains hidden aesthetic and epicurean treasures !
Périgord is where you will find a host of the most beautiful villages in France such as Belvès, Beynac et Cazenac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Domme, La Roque-Gageac, Montpazier, Saint-Amand-de-Coly, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère.
The area is exceptionally rich in towns with evocative names such as Collonges la Rouge, Rocamadour, Figeac, Caylus, Bergerac. Let yourself be transported to another time, another place !
